Is your food safe, or has it been genetically modified (GMO Foods)? Most of the corn, wheat, soy, etc., available on the market today have been genetically modified. Pure foods are becoming more difficult to find. Most GMO crops were invented by a chemical company known as Monsanto, under the guise of creating seeds that would “help farmers and people in third world countries grow more crops.”However, these genetically modified crops (and the toxic weedkillers that Monsanto sells with them!) have a devastating effect on our health, the environment, and the farmers who were pressured to buy them… all the while Monsanto rakes in money! Monsanto and the Creation of GMOOver 20 years ago, a chemical company known as Monsanto invented a genetically modified (GMO) seed and bought a patent for it. Monsanto sold this “seed” concept to our government, claiming, “We can help the farmers and third world countries grow more crops! We will genetically modify the SEED by combining the Weed Killer (aka Roundup) with the seed. Three years ago, a neighbor brought me 3 tomatoes from her father’s garden that resembled the tomatoes in the grocery store. I ate one of them and decided to put the other 2 on the counter so they might ripen and become tastier.After 1 week, these 2 tomatoes became a “science” experiment. They never ripened, spoiled, cracked or disintegrated. After 3 months, they began to wither … so I thought I’d better throw them away before they split and seeped. When I picked them up, they were still intact and firm. The picture to your right is that of a 3 month old tomato. See for yourself. This is what genetically modified food looks like after 3 months.I also noticed for the past 2 years my plants were not producing as well as they had in the past. So last year, I began searching and purchasing Heirloom plants and seeds.During this 3 months of the tomato experiment, I went to the farmer’s market, visited each booth that sold tomatoes and smelled of the tomatoes. None of the tomatoes smelled like I remember a tomato smelling when I was a child.As a child, I remember the watermelons being bright red, sweet and full of juice and seeds. Now most people seek the seedless watermelons which are light pink, non-juicy and contain only one seed. Where is the “energy” in this food? If you plant this one seed, do you think a plant would grow? How could such an organism affect your body?In my humble opinion, the best way to tell if a fruit is ripe and pure is to smell it (according to the Harris Teeter produce man). Please refrain from pressing your thumb into fruits and vegetables to see if they’re ripe – you are only bruising it for the next customer.Just smell the end of it where the stem was attached. If it smells sweet, it is ripe. If it smells green, let it sit on your counter for 3 days and it will ripen. Each thumb press causes a bruise and spoilage… and that is not very kind to your fellow consumer.According to one of my mentors, Dr. Kusumi, “If it won’t spoil, DON’T EAT IT! Dhoose the foods that are pure.”Pure Food is Your Fuel!If you want to “fuel” your body, build your immune system and protect yourself from disease, these are good rules to follow:Eat raw, organic foods… aim for a diet that is 80 percent raw, if you cannot go totally raw.Plant your own Heirloom seeds! Swiss chard grows all year round and has high food value, just like spinach.Avoid genetically modified foods and those sprayed or contaminated with pesticides, herbicides, and other poisons.Avoid artificial foods, processed foods, sugar, artificial sweeteners, preserved foods in boxes, cans or frozen entrees.Avoid wheat, corn, soy, grains, and their byproducts if you are ill, or want to prevent being ill. Consume seeds (and their byproducts) instead. If the food contains words you are not familiar with or cannot pronounce, it is probably “preserved” or artificial. Drink filtered water. Artificial sweeteners are highly addictive and extremely poisonous! It was created by MONSANTO, the same company responsible for popularizing GMO crops and creating the toxic herbicide “agent orange” used in the Vietnam war.When the temperature of aspartame exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol it contains converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis.Formaldehyde is a toxic substance typically used to preserve scientific ’tissue specimens,’ and becomes trapped in fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs. Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants. It causes methanol toxicity which mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.Many people who are diagnosed with MS are actually suffering from “artificial sweetener poisoning”. Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, methanol toxicity is a death sentence! Multiple Sclerosis, Systemic Lupus, and FibromyalgiaIn 2001, in the keynote address by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at the World Environmental Conference, it was announced that the USA was suffering an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus. One Dr. H. J. Roberts stood up and said that he was there to lecture on exactly that subject.During a lecture, Dr. Roberts said, “If you are using Aspartame (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc.) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss, you probably have Aspartame (artificial sweetener) poisoning!” People were jumping up during the lecture saying, “I have some of these symptoms.”The Myth of “Diet Soda”Because Aspartame is “sugar free,” it is included in many diet products and diet sodas. Dr. Espart (one of the other speakers at the conferece) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS. During his recent visit to a hospice center, a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence.Diet soda is NOT a weight loss product! It is a chemically altered, multiple sodium (salt) and Aspartame-containing-product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight!Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of ‘diet products’ and with no significant increase in exercise, his patients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.If it says “Sugar Free” on the label, do not even think about consuming it!Aspartame & DiabetesAspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics.Some physicians found examples of their patients with retinopathy who, in fact, had symptoms caused by aspartame, which drives the blood sugar out of control.These diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are neurotoxic when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.Treating diabetes is all about balance.Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and deteriorates the neurons of the brain, causing various levels of brain damage, seizures, depression, manic depression, panic attacks, uncontrollable anger and rage.Aspartame & ADD/ADHDDocumentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have been removed from their diet.So called “behavior modification prescription drugs” (Ritalin, Adderall, etc.) are no longer needed. Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given artificial sweeteners.MONSANTO & the Apartame Congressional HearingsMONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is.There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done. The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.Sadly, MONSANTO’S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED! There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical.Ironically, as was recently exposed in the New York Times, MONSANTO also funds the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians. These organizations cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry, and are required to endorse their products.Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants.The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.The bill was killed…It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this “killed bill”… letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public.
